The Untz Festival moves to June 4-6, 2021

To all our fans and friends,

The live music industry is in a state of peril. We in the independent arena are watching the infrastructure crumble around us as the pillars of our institutions—our beloved venues—are shuttering each day, and artists sidelined by lack of touring are becoming more and more desperate to maintain their careers without the biggest piece of their income. With all that being said, we understand that rushing back into throwing events is the most dangerous thing we could do. Operating unsafe events which spread the Coronavirus puts extra scrutiny and blame on promoters, shows, and festivals, and in effect prolongs the lockdown and prevents us from gaining any sense of normalcy.

It would be irresponsible for us to maintain our Fall dates for the festival, and beyond that, state and local mandates are barring any and all mass gatherings. Our new home of Yuba County is on a statewide watch-list due to the rising number of cases, and hospitals in the area are reaching max capacity in their ICUs. As such, we have come to the decision that we will be moving the festival back again to June 4-6, 2021 in Browns Valley, California.

All tickets, parking passes, and upgrades will be honored on our new dates. If you are unable to attend the festival, we will be emailing all ticket holders with information on how to obtain a refund. Please keep in mind that we are a small, independent organization, fighting the same fight as your favorite indie venues closing left and right. Refunds work to the credit card companies' advantage, and would put The Untz Festival at a severe disadvantage in terms of staying afloat through this insane time. As a small festival in a fiercely competitive market, our budget is already stretched thin. Multiple date changes along with significant non-refundable deposits have put us in a challenging cash flow situation. We humbly request that you ask for a refund only if you are in dire financial need. That way we'll be able to keep serving you the best in bass for another decade. We thank you so much for your support.

It is a huge disappointment for us, as well as our festival partners and artists. We are happy to announce that all of our headliners are committed to our new dates, and our safety protocol will be airtight by the time next summer rolls around. We look forward to seeing you all at Sycamore Ranch in 2021.
